a way to measue the distance to an object
- two entangled photons are sent each to a device
-The first device splits the photon in two, sending one of the split photons towards the target, the other one threw space
-The other device measures the photons polarisation after the photon has travelled in an optical fibre .
- photons hitting the target will modify the polarisation of their entangled photons while photons traveling to space will not modify their entangled photon polarisation
the wave length of photons can be tailored.
On can use infra-red photons absorbed by plastics, or micro-wave photons used by radars.
by setting a sensor distance adapted to the possible target, any object behind such distance is ignored.
